W6 Broadcast technology was a great class. I really enjoyed it. My favorite project was the 6 word story. I worked hard on it and although it took me awhile i still got it.l done. A problem that I had was acessing Imovie on my ipad. That really slowed me down with some of my projects. Overall it was a good class and I recommend it for future high schoolers who want to learn more about filming, ediiting and blogging

I just finished my final blog post. It was a great project and I really enjoyed it. My original plan was to interview a friend of mine who went to my church but due to non planning and forgetfulness i was unable to film. Then I found Morgan Taylor. She was a good subject and i felt comfortable interviewing her. This project really enlightened me and caused me to view others cultures and passions. In my Broadcast Technology class I watched The Adoption and Middle School Football, 2 stories that were done by CBS reporter Steve Hartman. These stories told me the Hey, You, See, and So of a news package. For the Middle school football story, middle schooler Keith Borr who has a learning disability. The Hey is when they introduced a football play that was done for Keith. The you is relating to people with special needs in Ladue Horton Watkins high school should be treated with the same respect as any other student. The see and so is Keith actually running the touchdown even though you really cant see him score on the video and he has a specific learning disability. The so really touches base on how people with special can do things just like anyone else. Same with the Adoption. The hey and you were how 3 little kids were adopted due to neglect. The you is people in St. Louis are adopted as well and the see and so are these kids range drom 3 to 5 and rich or poor, adaopted or not, everyone should be treated the same.
In my Broadcast Technology class, I watched a video on how to properly interview a person during a sit-down interview, where the person being interviewed is sitting down. A couple of tips are to turn off all cellphones before the interview starts, having the person being interviewed rephrase the question in their answer, and to have them not look at the camera. These tips help the person achieve the overall position: being comfortable. It is important being comfortable because you can see the person open up more and show more expression and emotion. A couple more tips are to ask tell me more about this or that questions, always be in manual mode when interviewing, and move the camera, phone, or tablet up or down to shown the person's face and include the rule of thirds.
In my Broadcast Tech class, we practiced the 19 shots for our 6-word story project. The 19 shots were quite easy. The shots I enjoyed the most were Over the shoulder, Bird's eye view, Dark Voyeur, Extreme close-up, Follow shot, and Low shot. Some shots like Extreme close up and Low shots were pretty easy. Some shots like Dark Voyeur and Bird's eye view were new and challenging, but they possible to learn. This practice helped me to find some unique to use in my final project.
Last week in my Broadcast Tech class, we started our six word story project. The six word stories were made famous by Ernest Hemingway, a novelist and short story writer. I did some research and one of my favorite six words stories were Home run. Catch. eBay auction. Rich! Another one of my favorites was I went traveling, found my home. Those short stories made my realize to enjoy life and live every moment. http://www.sixwordstories.net/2009/08/i-went-travelling-found-my-home/
A couple of weeks ago we did a project called (WALLDO) which stands for wide, angled, low, linking, depth, and opposite. We then edited on Final Cut Pro. With Final Cut Pro I learned how to edit, add text, and play music. It was different from iMovie because you had more features and it looked a little different. I really enjoyed this project and would highly recommend it to Broadcast Tech beginners
A month ago, my Broadcast Tech class watched a video about Walldo. Walldo stands for wide, angled, low, linking, depth, and opposite. We then did a scavenger hunt on the 6 shots, and used a app called Final cut pro. Final cut pro is an editing app that allows you to add your own type of font, add music, and us filters. IT's a good app and I would recommend you using it to edit any camera footage.
About a week ago I did a(n) I am video blog post. I liked the themes and trailers, but i didn't like the number of seconds on a section of the trailer. I learned how to create a website, make videos and post those videos.
